Dorset Artists Guild - Our vision for the Guild

As our Guild continues to grow and evolve, we wanted to take a moment to think about what truly brings us together as artists. That’s why we’ve created a mission statement that captures the heart of who we are: “To connect, inspire, and support the Dorset Artists Guild community of artists.” We’ve also set out how we plan to make each part of that mission a reality — and we’re excited to publish our full programme for 2026. We hope it gives you plenty to look forward to in 2026!

HOW WE DELIVER THIS

CONNECT: Connect Dorset Artists Guild’s vibrant community of artists by:

  • Creating opportunities to meet - Host member-only events: socials, art meetups, museum/exhibition trips.
  • ⁠Foster a community for collaboration and networking online and in person.


INSPIRE: Ignite creativity, generate new ideas, and encourage engagement by:

  • Organising inspiration walks and gallery visits.
  • Offer exhibition opportunities.
  • Host art challenges and group projects.


SUPPORT: Support artists’ professional practice by:

  • Providing opportunities to discuss work at socials and online. 
  • Facebook group - online support.
  • Offering marketing assistance.
  • Share competitions, open calls, and opportunities through our digital platforms.
  • Maintain an artist directory.
  • Promotion of our members’ work to the DAG database and social media.
