Collection: Margaret Hasted

Margaret Hasted is a Dorset-based artist whose work is inspired by the beauty and diversity of the local landscape. The rolling hills, dramatic coastline, and ever-changing skies of Dorset provide a constant source of creative energy, which she translates into vibrant and expressive artworks. Margaret works primarily with acrylics, often layering relief transparent paints and collage to create depth, texture, and a sense of movement within each piece. This mixed-media approach allows her to capture not only the physical qualities of the landscape but also the atmosphere and emotion it evokes. 

Alongside her artistic practice, Margaret has been actively involved in supporting charitable causes through her work, raising funds for organisations including LEAF, Lewis Manning Hospice, Julia’s House, Cancer Research, and the Wessex Cancer Trust.

Through both her art and community involvement, Margaret aims to celebrate the natural beauty of Dorset while contributing to causes that make a meaningful difference.
